Our Organization

Women in Sports & Events (WISE) is the only professional national organization to support women in sports and events that provides a community for shared experiences. WISE Atlanta creates connections and benefits to build relationships that encourage and promote professionals in our industries. As the only organization of its kind, WISE Atlanta provides a voice to and perspective on the sports and events industries.

Since 2004, WISE Atlanta has connected senior, influential women. Today, WISE Atlanta is one of the fastest growing chapters in the country with nearly 100 members from the corporate, agency, team, venue, collegiate, media and entrepreneurial sides of sports and events.

2011 Board of Directors and Committee Chairs

Kristi Atkins, President - In 2004, Atkins founded a|i|m Marketing Solutions (a|i|m) a female-owned (WBENC certified) sports and entertainment marketing agency headquartered in Atlanta. Prior to forming a|i|m, Atkins held several positions at The GEM Group and Advantage International (now Octagon).  Atkins has 16 years experience in the sports and entertainment marketing industry. During this time, she has worked with world-class brands developing and executing strategic marketing plans.  Atkins has extensive expertise in Olympic Games, motorsports, golf, collegiate athletics and soccer.

Krista Keene Massey, Marketing Chair – Krista currently serves as the lead for all geography, sponsorship, and event marketing activity across the SunTrust Bank.  Her team manages a number of sponsorship programs including a platform as the “Official Bank of Motorsports ”, a partnership with the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, Family Circle Cup (the largest stand-alone WTA event in the country), and a number of collegiate property relationships.   Krista currently serves on the Board of Directors of WISE (Women in Sports and Events) as Marketing Chair for the Atlanta chapter for the 2010 and 2011 term.  WISE is the only professional national organization to support women in sports and events that provides a community for shared experiences. WISE Atlanta creates connections and benefits to build relationships that encourage and promote professionals in our industries thereby providing a voice and perspective.  Krista attended college at The University of Georgia and holds an M.B.A from Mercer University.  She is an Atlanta native and now lives in Newnan, Georgia with her husband Chad and her two young sons Drew and Jake.

Sabrina Jenkins, Vice President -Jenkins is the Director of Special Events for the Atlanta Braves/Turner Field and also oversees the Atlanta Braves Supplier Diversity Program.  From 2008 – 2011 Sabrina has been named by the Atlanta Business League as one of Atlanta’s 100 Top Black Women of Influence. In October, 2006, she was nominated as one of the Top 25 Most Influential Women in Atlanta by Rolling Out Magazine. Sabrina has served on the Board of Directors for the Edge Connection since 2009 and as VP for Women in Sports and Events (WISE) Atlanta Chapter since 2010.  Sabrina graduated from Augusta State University with a BBA degree in Marketing.  A native of Atlanta, she is member of Salem Bible Church in Lithonia.

Arleen Zulawski, Treasurer – Zulawski is the Senior Manager in Consulting at Velocity Sports & Entertainment.  Her accounts include national collegiate sports sponsorships with AT&T and Holiday Inn Racing (NASCAR). She has over nine years experience in the sports industry, working on a variety of NCAA Championship events including the Final Four, BCS National Championship, College World Series, and the Frozen Four.

Christine Dillard, Event Co-Chair – Dillard works at The Georgia Dome as an Executive Services Coordinator. She oversees the Verizon Wireless Club Seat accounts and manages all aspects of the special events program for Executive Members. This program requires her to work closely with the Atlanta Falcons, Levy Restaurants and local business partners like, Eastlake Golf Club and Fox Theatre to create unique value-added opportunities. Dillard also works on the Dome’s external communications campaigns, specifically social media and e-marketing efforts.

Melanie Ruffner, Event Co-Chair – Ruffner works as the Senior Coordinator of Special Events at the Atlanta Braves/Turner Field. She manages events such as corporate and private batting practice experiences, on-field dinners, special occasion photo shoots, film shoots, ride & drive events and charity walks. Ruffner also creates a variety of gameday event initiatives. She has recently entered into her 6th season with the Atlanta Braves. Ruffner is a graduate of the University of Georgia

Sherry Millette, Membership/Technology Chair – Millette is Director of Information Technology at the Atlanta Braves.  Sherry created the Atlanta Braves first IT Department in 2007 after managing the technology transition to new ownership.   Her  team is responsible for a wide range of technology at Turner Field as well as the Braves four Minor League Stadiums, the Dominican Republic Braves Academy as well as their Spring Training Camp in Orlando.

Melissa Chevalier, Sponsorship Chair - Chevalier is President of dot the i MARKETING, a full service experiential marketing company specializing in automotive and motorsports marketing.  dot the i MARKETING focuses on the American Le Mans Series, SPEED World Challenge Series, 24 Hours of Le Mans, Festivals of Speed and Petit Le Mans. She also works with premiere sports car manufacturers such as Audi, Porsche, Aston Martin and Ferrari to create unique, interactive events.

Kendyl Baugh Moss, WISE Within Committee Chair – Moss is entering her fifth season as Director of Community Relations  and her ninth season with the Falcons.  In this capacity, Moss is directly responsible for community initiatives, player outreach, youth football programming and sponsorship and donations. Prior to her current position with the Falcons, she held roles in the Event Marketing department and the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation. Prior to her role with the Falcons, Moss was the Assistant Director of the Division I Men’s Basketball Championship and NCAA Final Four. Before working with the NCAA, she served as the assistant director of championships/marketing for Conference USA.  Moss earned her B.S. in Speech Communications at the University of Texas. She also holds a M.A. in Corporate Communications from DePaul University.
