The Atlanta Braves have seven employees who are members of the Atlanta Chapter of WISE, including Sue Gerten, who serves as the WISE Within Chair. The Braves open the 2010 regular season at Turner Field on Monday, April 5 with a 4:10pm game against the Chicago Cubs. Games two and three of the season-opening series will be played on April 7 & 8, both games at 7:10 p.m. Tickets are available at www.braves.com.

Member Jackie Tyson has signed a new client, Project Athena Foundation, for her sports public relations agency, Peloton Sports. The Project Athena Foundation is launching a national run/walk event in three cities this year, the AKALI Project Athena Racing Series. The first event will take place in San Diego on May 8, 2010. www.akaliprojectathenaracingseries.com. The Foundation helps female survivors of medical or traumatic setbacks to live their athletic dreams as part of their recovery. All “Survivors” who register for one or more events in the series will receive complimentary registration.
